Clobetasol MK is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions: limited plaque psoriasis resistant to other treatments, particularly the palmo-plantar forms, eczema refractory to treatment, lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus, and other non-infected corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions that do not respond to weaker corticosteroids.
One gram of ointment contains 0.5 mg clobetasol propionate.
Excipients: propylene glycol, white petrolatum, cetyl alcohol, polysorbate 80.
The recommended dose is 1-2 cm of ointment applied once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the lesion. The ointment should be applied as a thin layer over the affected area, gently massaging until fully absorbed. If the appearance of the affected area does not improve, treatment should be discontinued after one week or sooner. Continuation of treatment beyond four weeks should occur only after reassessment of the patient's condition.
