More details about the ingredients
Glucosamine is a hexosamine with an important role in the structure of articular cartilage. In the case of a metabolic deficiency or the aging process, the body does not produce glucosamine in sufficient quantities, the cartilage enters a degeneration process that results in the installation of arthrosis.
Glucosamine is important in maintaining the elasticity, resistance and integrity of the cartilage as well as in maintaining the mobility of the joints. Glucosamine intervenes in the regeneration of articular cartilage. In addition, it is involved in the production of hyaluronic acid at the joint level, the molecule that helps in the correct lubrication of the joint.
Devil's claw or Harpagophytum procumbens is part of the Pedaliaceae family and is native to the desert regions of South-East Africa. The plant organ used is the secondary tuber, rich in iridoids. The major active principles are harpagosides, and the related iridoid-glycosides, harpagides and procumbins are found in smaller quantities. The plant is used in traditional medicine to relieve joint, muscle or tendinous pain, but also to stimulate the appetite and ease digestion.
Ascorbic acid is part of the group of water-soluble vitamins. Ascorbic acid is involved in the synthesis of collagen and contributes to the normal functioning of ligaments and the bone system. Vitamin C favors the formation of a correct structure of mature collagen. Vitamin C deficiency affects collagen fibers (quantitatively and qualitatively) in the body. In the absence of vitamin C, the collagen fibers produced in all body tissues are incomplete and have reduced resistance.
