Gastimax Med, chewable tablets is recommended for the treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux symptoms: burning sensation in the chest, acid regurgitation, indigestion, cough and inflammation of the pharynx and larynx (reflux-related).
These symptoms can appear after meals (for example, when eating fatty or spicy foods) or during pregnancy or in patients with symptoms associated with reflux esophagitis (manifested by difficult and/or painful swallowing, sensitive points in the mouth, vomiting). .
Ingredients: sodium alginate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium carbonate, sorbitol, microcrystalline cellulose, gaur gum, hydroxypropyl cellulose, solid mint flavor, micronized stearic acid, aspartame.
How does it work?
The medical device Gastimax Med, chewable tablets combines the effects of three functional ingredients - sodium alginate, sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium carbonate, and the mechanism of action is physical and does not depend on absorption in the systemic circulation. Sodium alginate forms a protective layer on the surface of the gastric mucosa and gastric contents in the acidic environment of the stomach.
At the same time, sodium hydrogencarbonate and calcium carbonate, upon contact with the hydrochloric acid in the stomach, release carbon dioxide that mobilizes the layers of sodium albinate gel on the surface of the gastric contents. In this way, a protective layer of gel is formed that blocks the reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus.
In severe cases, the gel itself can pass from the stomach into the esophagus instead of the stomach contents, exerting an emollient effect.
In addition, sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate neutralize excess gastric acidity.
For oral administration. Chew well before swallowing.
