More details about the ingredients
Acetyl-cysteine is indicated in the treatment of bronchial secretion disorders. Clinical studies showed that after 10 days, patients who received acetylcysteine (200 mg 3 times a day) experienced a decrease in symptoms - cough severity and sputum viscosity (Brocard H, Charpin J, Germouty J. Etude multi-centrique en aveugle avec oral acetylcysteine. Eur J Respir 1980; 61 Suppl.
Rich in flavonoids and bioflavonoids, elderflowers are known for their beneficial properties on the body. The flavonoids in elderberries - anthocyanins, quercetin and isoquercitrin - help the body during the period when it is dealing with the flu or cold. Elderberries are known for their immunostimulating action, contributing to the health of the immune system. In addition, clinical studies have shown that elderberries reduce the average duration of cough days by 50% (The Journal of International Medical Research 2004; 32: 1032 – 1040), by 77% the intensity of cough (Online Journal of Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics, volumes 5:32-43, 2009) and increases antibody production by 42% (Zakay-Rones Y et al., J Altern Complement Med 1995; 1:361-369).
Vitamin C is an indispensable nutrient for the normal development of physiological processes. However, vitamin C cannot be synthesized or stored by the human body. In this sense, the need for vitamin C will be ensured through an adequate diet and with the help of nutritional supplements.
Vitamin C helps the optimal functioning of the immune system, the reduction of fatigue and exhaustion, the improvement of iron absorption, the normal functioning of the metabolism and the protection of the body against oxidative stress.
Thyme has been used since ancient times to help treat problems of the respiratory system, low immunity, but also for digestion, as an energizer or de-tensioner. Thyme leaves contain essential oils such as thymol, carvacolo, borneol and geraniol, phenolic antioxidants, flavonoids such as zea-xanthin, lutein, pigenin, naringenin, luteolin and thymonin. All these substances make cimbu a good antiseptic, expectorant, stimulant and carminative.
