Tresyl cream is indicated for the treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses when complicated by secondary infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to the ingredients of this dermatological medicine or when the possibility of such infections occurrence is suspected.
One gram of cream contains betamethasone dipropionate 0.643 mg, gentamicin sulfate 1.54 mg and clotrimazole 10 mg.
Excipients: propylene glycol, liquid paraffin, lanette Wax AO*, octyldodecanol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), purified water.
*contains cetostearyl alcohol (65-75%) and macrogol cetostearyl ether 30 (15-25%)
A thin film of Tresyl cream should be applied to cover completely the affected and surrounding skin areas twice daily, in the morning and at night. For treatment to be effective, this cream should be applied regularly. Shall not be used occlusive dressings. Duration of therapy varies depending upon the extent and location of disease and patient response. However, if clinical improvement is not achieved by three to four weeks, diagnosis should be reviewed. Extending the treatment period will be made only after patients’ condition have been reassessed. The experience in children is limited.
