Short description
The most well-known and most tolerated topical corticosteroid, also administered in small age groups, in corticosteroid-sensitive dermatoses.
Indications
Treatment of dermatoses susceptible to corticosteroids (e.g. eczema including atopic, infantile, stasis, neurodermatosis, seborrheic dermatitis, intertrigo, insect bites).
Advantages
Administered in the ointment form, hydrocortisone acetate has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-pruritic and local vasoconstriction action.
Due to the reduced intensity action (class I), hydrocortisone can be administered to children from 6 months of age, the risk of adverse reactions being significantly reduced compared to other stronger corticosteroids.

Composition
1 gram of ointment contains hydrocortisone acetate 10 mg.
Also contains white petrolatum, triglycerol isostearate, cetyl alcohol, glycerol monostearate 40-55, octyldodecanol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.

Dosage and administration
It is administered 2-3 times daily to the affected area. The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days for adults and 5 days or less for children.
