Short description
Solution for the relief of pain associated with fever, headache, sore throat or toothache!
Indications
Prosinus® oral solution is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with toothache, headache, sore throat, muscle, joint and skeletal pain. Also, it is indicated in febrile conditions associated with cold, flu, common childhood infections (measles, whooping cough, mumps and chickenpox), ENT diseases, post-vaccination fever.
Advantages
Paracetamol is used to relieve mild to moderate pain and in febrile conditions. Prosinus® oral solution is specially formulated to be pleasant to take and easy to administer.
Composition
Each 5 mL of oral solution contains paracetamol 150 mg. Also contains: macrogol 6000, sugar, sodium saccharine, sorbic acid (E200), methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl hydroxybenzoate (E216), purified water, orange flavour.
Dosage and administration
Children between 0 months and 12 years: the recommended dose depends on the child’s weight: 10 - 15 mg paracetamol/kg per dose, 3-4 doses per day. If the weight is not known then match the age of the child. No more than 4 doses will be given in 24 hours. In children, both during the day and at night, a 6 hours interval between administrations is preferred.
Do not give paracetamol to babies younger than 3 months old, unless it is prescribed by a doctor.
0 - 3 months - 2 mL (60 mg paracetamol) After vaccination at 2 months, only on doctor’s advice.
3 months -12 months - 2-4 mL (60-120 mg paracetamol)
1 year - 6 years - 4-8 mL (120-240 mg paracetamol)
6 years - 12 years - 8-16 mL (240-480 mg paracetamol)
